Creating an inspiring atmosphere in the home by focusing on intentional living in family life, homemaking and homeschool.

Hello, I’m Stephanie!
Welcome to This Intentional Home, a place I have created to collect everything I have learned (and am learning!) about making a beautiful, one of a kind family life and home. I hope you will find some things useful here on your journey of doing the same and that together we can create a community of encouraging one another.
About Me
I homeschool my 3 children and love it. I am also married to the most wonderfully patient, understanding, and hardworking man a woman could ever ask for. Our marriage has been such a joy in my life. We are defintely a team and work together to create a home life that is focused on intentional living.

I have loved to read for as long as I can remember. It’s a way I learn, grow and relax. Therefore, I’m always reading something and love to hear what others are reading too, so feel free to reach out and share your favorites! My favorite books are classics, nonfiction, and history…with a little poetry thrown in.
I have a strong type A personality. Naturally, I enjoy organizing and planning. I always have a to-do list and would be lost without my planner. My brain runs at about 100mph and without those I think I would go crazy.
I have dealt with chronic health issues my whole life, have had hard pregnancies and postpartum and have struggled with depression and anxiety. These have helped to shape who I am and I am passionate about encouraging others in the hard places of life.
Words. I love them. I love an encouraging quote, excellent lyrics in a song or hymn, and poetry.
Fun Facts
I spent a semester living abroad in Florence, Italy when I was in college. I loved the culture over there and traveling around Europe. Because of that experience, I am forever in love with art museums. My favorite type of art is Impressionism.

In college I was an English major with a minor in business. I love both, although I am naturally good at business and have to work harder at English. I don’t mind. Anything that can combine those two fields is my happy place.
I played soccer competitively from ages 5-18. I don’t play anymore, but I do still enjoy watching it. My exercise of choice these days is good old fashioned walking.
